New Thailand Photos from Melody
(Jan. - March 2000)

Making Canom series (a dessert).

Fire cooking stoves with pots of sticky rice. When the rice is finished cooking, it goes into a big pot (next)

Canom is made of sticky rice and a liquid sugar syrup poured over it, while stirred over a fire.

Then it is scooped out.

The mixture is then laid on banana leaves and flattened. When it is cooled, it is eaten. Yummm!!
This is the end of Canom series.

Melody's room series

"My front door, Welcome to my House!! Hand made paper decorates my walls, along with the "Earth at Night" poster. The room to the left is my bedroom. I've got tables, a desk and a chair. This picture is taken from the back part of my room."

"The back part of my room...my little kitchen with my kettle, and rice cooker on the far wall, more handmade paper, my desk"

Melody's bedroom, and her "wonderful, sturdy, huge bed frame and clothes closet"
This ends the "room" series
